Today, I am going take a quick jaunt away from Redmond and head over to Orlando, Florida. I know I said that I was going to hang around Redmond and MSDN for awhile but it’s conference time! This year will be great if you are a SharePoint admin or developer. Since the 2003 version was released I have been saying that it is time to create a conference for us around SharePoint – ok just maybe not to the right people . After all we work hard, we deserve a good conference to put our feet up, swap ideas, get the brain waves flowing. I don’t know about you but after a good tech conference I have way too many ideas and not enough time.
Since conference season has “officially started today’s stop is:
If you are near the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress Hotel in Orlando, Florida stop by for the SharePoint Connections Convention. It started today – which is why I thought I better make a note of it quickly – and runs through the fifth. So you got enough time to make if you leave today. If you do get there you will get to hear from some well-known SharePoint community members such as Bill Simser, Patrick Tisseghem, Bob Mixon and Stephen Cummins. Topics at this conference is developer-centric expect to see developer techniques, case studies and real-world scenarios.
The abundance of topics at various major conference around the world goes to show that SharePoint is well on its way and the community is responding.
