Microsoft has added two new (Beta) Advanced Analytics certification exams: Perform Cloud Data Science with Azure Machine Learning (70-774) and Perform Data Engineering on Microsoft Azure HDInsight (70-775). These two exams join the existing exam, Analyzing Big Data with Microsoft R (70-773). All three exams target the Data Scientist audience and can be credited towards a MCSE certification.
Perform Cloud Data Science with Azure Machine Learning (70-774)
70-774 covers common data science tasks and activities using Azure Machine Learning . The test will cover data manipulation, developing machine learning models, and management and operationalizing models. There is a section for “Other Services for Machine Learning” that covers neural networks on virtual machines, using the Cortana Intelligence Gallery, HDInsight and SQL Server R Services on Azure.
Perform Data Engineering on Microsoft Azure HDInsight (70-775)
70-775 includes administration and configuration of HDInsight clusters. Areas for questions also includes batch, interactive and real-time processing tasks. Technologies including Hive, Pig, Spark, Phoenix and Hbase are covered in 774. Languages called out are Java, Python and Scala.
If you have or will take these, I am curious about your feedback. As far as I know, these are the first certification tests geared towards the data science by Microsoft.
